Koenigsegg Agera R
Even more obscenely powerful than its predecessor Koenigsegg Agera, at number 5 is Koenigsegg Agera R which was first released in Geneva early this year at a price of $1.6 million. Incredibly strong and lightweight, Agera R’s skeleton is made out of carbon fiber monocoque. It also features a 5-liter V8 mighty engine that produces a whopping 1,115 horse power, plus a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Add it all up and you have a ferociously supersonic car.
Lamborghini Reventon
Regarded as the most outrageous Lamborghini ever made, Reventon lands the Number 4 spot. Limited to only 20 units which were sold out before it was even made, it had a grand price of $1.6 million. The Lamborghini Reventon boasts of a powerful 640 bhp V12 engine which enables it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 secs and reach a maximum speed of 211 mph. Other marvelous features of this first-class car include electronic instruments such as the G-Force-Meter, an amazing feat that gives this car an incredible drive force, longitudinal acceleration.
Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
Another limited edition magnum opus has been recently unleashed by Italian car maker, Pagani. Behold as Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster marks the number 3 spot. Said to produce five exclusive units only, Zonda Cinque’s titanium chassis has been remodeled to compensate for its roofless feature. It has a Mercedes-Benz AMG mid-engine that can release a horsepower of up to 678 bhp and torque of 780 Nm, which enables it to reach 60 mph within just 3.3 seconds. Other awe-inspiring features include 6-speed sequential transmission, a ceramic-coated Inconel/titanium exhaust system, magnesium and titanium suspensions, and APP monolithic wheels from aluminum and magnesium. Zonda Cinque Roadster is set at a price of $1.8 million.
Buggati Veyron Super Sports
These road demigods just can’t get enough of the high-speed velocity addiction, can they? Landing at number 2 is Bugatti Veyron Super Sports. Named after a celebrated racing driver, Pierre Veyron can travel a truly fearsome speed of 431.072 km/h, making it the quickest-accelerating car ever produced to this day. It features a W16 engine-16 cylinders in 4 banks of 4 cylinders bolstered by four turbochargers, and a dual-clutch DSG computer-controlled manual transmission. This fast-paced wonder is sold at a price of $2.4 million.
Bugatti Type 41 Royale

Bugatti just can’t get any better than this. Marking the top spot of the world’s most expensive cars is Type 41 Royal. Known as the brainchild of Ettore Bugatti, it is sold at a whopping price of around $10-12 million. Only six units of these masterpiece were produced, but two of them were never sold and are currently housed at the Bugatti estate. Commonly known as “Royale”, it is as heavy as a large modern commercial pickup truck. Ettore Buggati originally planned to build and sell 25 of these models, then sell it to royalty. But during the Great Depression, even the European royalty were not buying such luxurious things. Now it is widely known as one of the largest and rarest car in the world.
