Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, bought a twelve million dollar home in North Palm Beach, Fla., and decided to have it demolished! Wait! She bought a $12 million dollar home and have it destroyed? Was that a new fad in the money wasting game? The only reason most of us can think of on why she has decided to do something like that was probably Tiger Woods was still snuggled up in bed inside the Mansion. But it was clearly stated that she acquired it after their divorce and she never actually occupied the house, so that angle was automaticaly ruled out. So what made her decide to turn the mansion into a $12 million scrap?
We all know that divorce is not the finest moment in any couple’s life. Unless you’re the wife of Tiger Woods and you’re bound to receive a $11o million divorce settlement. So maybe she’s in the “I’m-insanely-rich-now-and-I-can-do-whatever-I-want” stage? Cool! Or maybe it’s just her way of being ballistic towards Tiger’s infidelity, that instead of throwing plates at him, she just bought a really expensive house and had it demolished to the ground now that she’s rich and really sophisticated?

Apparently, none of the above reasons make any sense at all. They’re just figments of my imagination fit for a soap opera script. In fact, Ms. Nordegren’s decision to have the twelve million dollar home demolished was due to very valid reasons.
According to People magazine the decision to have the oceanfront 1920s mansion bulldozed
were due to termites infestation and for the fact that the structure was not compliant with hurricane building codes. Which made it clear that Tiger’s ex’s decision was neither about vanity nor revenge.
It was also reported that a local Habitat for Humanity group was given 30 days to salavage materials and fittings from the mansion before the demolition day came.
According to architectural plans, the 32-year-old former Swedish model is planning to erect a new mansion on the site that will look remarkably like the old one. It will have 9 bedrooms, two kitchens, and a wine cellar. It will also feature a pair of Jacuzzis, a pool cabana, and a three-bedroom guest house. This is a clear-cut evidence that the former Swedish model is spending her money wisely.
